Position Details:

Rutherford Regional Health System, a Duke Lifepoint Hospital is growing with the addition of a hospital employed, full-time BC/BE General Surgeon to strengthen our established team at Rutherford Surgical Associates. 

Requirements: bread and butter general surgery, endoscopic procedure and laparoscopic procedures

• Current medical staff is composed of Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, OB/GYN, Pediatrics

• Rural community hospital - 1.5hrs from Charlotte and 1hr from Asheville 

• Seeking 4th General Surgeon 

• Average 10-20 patients/day

• Schedule and call:

  • Clinic Monday- Friday 8 am-5 pm

  • OR in the morning followed by clinic

  • Shared Call 

• Clinic EMR- Athena, Hospital EMR- Meditech

• 2023 Lifepoint Division Hospital of the year

• 90th percentile patient satisfaction in the ambulatory clinic
