Position Detail

Harris Regional Hospital, a Duke Lifepoint Hospital in Sylva, North Carolina (45min outside Asheville) is growing with the addition of a full-time BC/BE Pediatrician to strengthen our established team in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western NC. **Harris Pediatric Care is an approved NHSC site. **

• Primarily outpatient clinic

• Typical schedule: 2 hours of inpatient nursery rounds and 6 hours of clinic 

• Newborn assessments preferred

• Level 2 Nursery 

• Very busy OB program averaging 600 deliveries per year

• Our physicians average 20-25 patients per day

• Excellent referral base

• The practice blends administrative support with clinical autonomy, allowing physicians to find an ideal balance within the practice of medicine

• Supported by a strong administrative team, with billing, coding, staffing and day-to-day operational assistance

• Ideal candidate will combine solid training with an excellent bedside manner and a commitment to providing patient-focused care
